Quest Primary School is part of The Collegiate Trust.

From 1st September 2022 the Directors of the Trust delegated the oversight and leadership of the Quest Primary School and The Quest Academy to the Local Governing Body (LGB) of Quest.

Quest Primary School and The Quest Academy will have a combined Local Governing Body (LGB) with two committees.

A Primary Learning and Quality Committee (LQC) and a Secondary Learning and Quality Committee (LQC).

The LGB and committees will be made up of parents, staff, LA and Trust Governors from Quest Primary School and The Quest Academy.

The Local Governing Body will consist of:

• The Executive Principal, Andy Crofts – to attend the LGB – ex officio
• Head of School, The Quest Academy, Thomas Beecham – to attend Secondary LQC
• Principal, Quest Primary School, Jo Stawman – to attend Primary LQC
• 4 Parent Governors (ideally two from The Quest Academy and two from Quest Primary)
• 3 – 4 Staff Governors (ideally at least one from The Quest Academy and one from Quest Primary)
• 7 – 9 Trust Governors
• 1 LA Appointed Governor

Christine Waring

Vice Chair of the Local Governing Body of Quest / Chair of the Secondary LQC

Christine joined The Quest Academy as a governor in 2010 when it was part of The Coloma Trust. She was elected as Chair in 2016 and re-elected when Quest joined The Collegiate Trust. As part of her role as a governor, she liaises with both the PE and Modern Foreign Languages faculties.

She graduated with a degree in Mathematics from Nottingham University and has since gained an MSc in Mathematics and Statistics and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Computer Science.

She is a trustee of both Contact, a local neighbourhood care charity, and the umbrella group Croydon Neighbourhood Care Association

Jennifer Robbins

Chair of the Primary LQC

Jennifer joined the Quest Primary (then Gilbert Scott Primary) as a governor in 2017 and more recently became SEND and equalities governor. As part of this role Jennifer spends time every term in the school’s ELPs, which is a great opportunity to get to know the school and pupils better.

Jennifer has a degree in psychology and worked as a learning support assistant while studying for her masters in Developmental and Educational Psychology. Jennifer currently works for the Department for Education in a policy role. She has always been interested in education and believes that every child should have the same opportunities in life.
