The “Reading for Pleasure” conference took place on October 18, 2025, at The Open University in Milton Keynes. The event focused on “The Affective Power of Reading for Pleasure” and included keynotes, research-informed workshops, and the announcement of the 2025 Reading for Pleasure Awards. We are incredibly proud of Mrs Beirne, who led one of these workshops – ‘Making Reading feel Special in EYFS & KS1’ as part of the event. We are looking forward to seeing the beautiful books she got signed for pupils in our RfP assemblies this half term and hearing about all the exciting ideas she will have brought back to put in place for our pupils at QPS to continue our RfP journey
