Our Edible Playground build is complete! A huge thank you to Trees for Cities for all of their support both via funding and the physical build to make the garden space a reality for our Quest Primary pupils. 15 raised beds have been created which pupils will plant up over the coming year when the seasons allow, to grow fruits, vegetables, flowers and herbs, teaching pupils about the process of planting, growing and harvesting. Seating areas have also been added, as well as a lovely potting shed and you can walk through the garden to admire each area. We are grateful for the work also undertaken to other areas of the site where seating areas, stepping stones, and new trees and plants have been added. We will be working with Trees for Cities for the remainder of the year so we can get the best results from our new space, and all pupils will be able to have a part in the growing. If there are any keen parent or grandparent gardeners amongst our school community who may be able to volunteer some time to help with the upkeep of our garden, we would love to hear from you.
