Celebrating Children’s Mental Health Week. We had an amazing week doing lots of activities around the theme ‘Know Yourself, Grow Yourself.’ The children were able to experience sessions to support their wellbeing, which for many was their first experience of these activities.

We had two fantastic family zumba sessions, led by Vicky and Michelle from @zumbacr8 who got the whole school moving and smiling. Each class also had a yoga session led by Nicola, and enjoyed the calm and stillness that this session provided.

Mrs Matthews and Mrs Hicklin-Mighall led parent & child fruit kebab making sessions in The Discovery Hub, focusing on how a healthy diet can support how you feel. Our anti-bullying ambassadors performed a comedy sketch in our launch assembly, focused on identifying ways to support your wellbeing, and our Pupil Parliament Wellbeing committee launched their lunchtime wellbeing club to the school. Parents were invited to join a workshop led by our SENDCo, Ms Eynon, on Zones of Regulation and found the session so helpful they have requested further workshops next term. Children were also invited to wear ‘something that makes you happy’ mufti, and also got to wear their disco clothes on disco day – the disco was held by the PTFA and provided an enjoyable end to our week of celebrations! Thank you to everyone who took part and supported events during the week.
